Mark your calendars as NPSL action returns to the campus of CNU this Sunday, June 22nd - as your Legacy 76 takes on DC United's U23 squad. Kickoff is set for 3:00pm at Captains Field on the campus of CNU.
We hope you are ready for some soccer Sunday as in the evening 6:00pm - USA will take on Portugal in the World Cup - but first Legacy 76 will prepare you for a great day as they will be hosting a skills clinic open to all players ages 6-14 boys and girls. The skills clinic will take place at 1:00pm and is FREE to all participants - outside the stadium on the practice field.
Then at 3:00pm your Legacy 76 will take on DC United U23 - who currently are undefeated and sit in second place in the division. Legacy 76 is coming off two straight shutouts vs ASA Charge and VB City FC - who are at the top of the division. Legacy 76 currently sits in 4th place and can move up to 3rd with 3 points. Last time out - Legacy 76 fell 1-0 to DC United on the road and will be looking for revenge this Sunday.
'For our players to have the opportunity to play against a team affiliated with a professional MLS Franchise is an invaluable experience, and the same goes for all the youth players and parents who can come watch them play' - Bobby O'Brien - Technical Director; VLSC
