Emery Trott Selected to Receive the David Pickeral Scholarship

The Virginia Legacy would like to congratulate Emery Trott on being selected to recieve the David Pickeral Memorial Scholarship.  Emery graduated from Lafayette High School in 2013, where he, alongside his brother Reeves, reached the Virginia AA State Quarterfinals in soccer.

In the Fall, Emery will attend and play soccer for Haverford College where he plans on studying either physics or political science.  When asked what it takes to have success on and off the field Emory said, "The most important thing is to have conviction in what you are doing.  Whether it is in school or on the field you always have to care about and believe in the product your are putting out."

The scholarship honors David Alan Pickeral, a goalkeeper for the Williamsburg Soccer Club who passed away in a tragic accident during a soccer game on November 5, 2005.  Each year funds may be awarded in David’s name to a Virginia Legacy Soccer Club senior(s) intending to continue their studies at college.  The applicant may be male or female, but must have played with the VLSC for at least three years.  The deadline to apply for the scholarship is April 1st.  Contact the Legacy office if your child is interested in applying.
