NPSL Open Tryouts

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Virginia Legacy is pleased to announce open tryouts for its upcoming inaugural season in the National Premier Soccer League. Next summer, the Virginia Legacy will begin its first season in the NPSL, the top men’s amateur league in the United States. With over 80 teams nationwide, the NPSL is the largest league of its kind in the US. The team will be lead by first year Head Coach Eric Dutt and the tryouts will serve as the best opportunity to evaluate players interested in representing the Legacy and the Williamsburg/Newport News community. “The NPSL is committed to providing future and former professionals with an avenue to play soccer at an extremely high level,” said Dutt, “and now our community has a great place for these elite players to continue their development.”
The tryouts will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, December 14th and Sunday, December 15th at the Warhill Sports Complex in Williamsburg. There is a $25 registration fee and the tryouts are open to all men’s soccer players. Current and former college players, as well as, men’s league players are encouraged to attend. Any players under the age of 18 must have written parent/guardian approval prior to the start of tryouts. Head Coach Eric Dutt and his staff will be on hand to evaluate all players interested in playing for the Virginia Legacy NPSL next summer. “I am very excited to get our initial season underway. This tryout is a great opportunity for players to become part of a team dedicated to playing soccer at the highest level and representing this great community on the field,” said Dutt.
